Strunzova pila is situated in a strategic position right by the Vltava River below the Kvilda ski slope, near the chairlift and also by the road leading to Bučina and the sources of the Vltava, i.e. very close to the cross-country skiing trails. It is located near the centre of the village, but is also a quiet place, as there are no other buildings between the road and Strunzova pila.
